Lucien is a young Boogie Woogie and Blues pianist from Northern France. At the age of nine, he started to take classical piano lessons and naturally felt attracted by the instrument, taking much pleasure spending time at the piano. He then discovered Boogie Woogie music at the age of eleven through Youtube videos of young german pianist Luca Sestak, and thanks to his father, who began to pass on his interest for that kind of music. This is how Lucien began to learn Boogie Woogie and Blues piano by himself.

He then rapidly took part in after concert jam-sessions and gigs. In 2014, he got invited to play at the Cincy Blues Fest, in Cincinnati, Ohio, as part of a ten pianist - line-up. A few days later, he was performing at the world’s biggest Boogie Woogie Festival in Laroquebrou, France.

Since then, Lucien got the opportunity to perform at many events, in France, Belgium, England, Switzerland, and Austria, sharing the stage with the renowned Bob Seeley, Luca Sestak, Ricky Nye, Silvan Zingg, David Maxwell, Lluís Coloma, Julian Philips, among many others.

His major sources of inspiration are Albert Ammons, Meade Lux Lewis, the pre-war pioneers, the great New Orleans pianists James Booker, Dr John and Professor Longhair as well as lots of other blues, jazz, soul, and R&B artists.

Now aged 17, his influences continue broadening, as he focuses more and more on improvisation, original compositions, and of course great fun!
